School open tomorrow with a staggered start: registers open until 10am.
Church car park closed to parents. Please park away from school and walk in but take care on pavements. Children should wear any weather appropriate footwear but bring with them slippers or indoor shoes to change into.
Nativity will go ahead as planned tomorrow evening. Monday’s matinee will take place tomorrow afternoon (all tickets transferable from Monday). Last Monday’s evening performance will take place next Monday evening at the same time (again, all tickets directly transferable).

Fantastic Key Stage 2 Results!
Our Year 6s and their parents, teachers and governors, were thrilled to receive this year’s KS2 sats results. Despite the tests being significantly harder this year (to reflect the increased challenge in the curriculum) and the increased threshold for passing the tests, ALL of our Year 6s passed in ALL subjects. The scaled score pass mark on all the tests is 100, and our average scaled score was between 109 and 110 in all subject areas, which shows that as a group they performed well in excess of the pass mark, with some individual children achieving 119 in certain areas! Well done to all the Year 6s and to all the staff who have worked with them over their time here at Holy Redeemer. These impressive results put us top in Worcestershire. See below for comparisons with Worcester averages and the average emerging national figures.

Fantastic Results at End of Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 Too
Results were also fantastic in Early Years and Key Stage 1, where again the children did better than both local and national averages. Well done everyone!

Well done to all our Year 2s as well and to all the many staff who have worked with them over the years, especially Mrs Hill, Mrs Deary, Mrs Anderson and Miss Martin. These result are fantastic, especially the large percentage of children who are working at greater depth in all areas.
As with all year groups this year, the required standard was much higher than in previous years, so this is an impressive set of results, especially when 7.6% of the cohort is made up of EAL (English as an Additional Language) children, who joined the class during this year, with little or no English.
Year 1 Phonics Screening
And all of our Year 2s who were with us last year and did not pass the phonics, passed this year. 2 children in Yr 2 did not pass the phonics, but both only joined us in Yr 2 and both are EAL children who arrived with no English.
