On Thursday 18th May 2017 the children discovered a nest in one of the trees in the outdoor classroom. The blackbird is sitting on four eggs and does not seem to mind children and noise! The children are all very excited by the discovery and have already tried to help the blackbird by providing bird feeders and bird baths. They have also set up an observation area with binoculars and equipment so they can watch the nest and blackbird from a distance. We are trying to work more quietly in our outdoor classroom and have agreed not to touch the tree as we do not want to disturb the bird. We will keep you updated on any new developments!
