Before Half term Years 1-6 entertained a packed out hall with a selection of their musical learning from the first half of the Autumn Term. Our Brass Band opened the programme, ably conducted by Mrs Lane and set the tone beautifully. Each class performed a song/songs that they had been learning and some classes showcased their instrumental pieces on recorder, glockenspiel, vibraphone and/or xylophone. The Choir sang a selection of songs based on this year’s theme of Roald Dahl (with many excellent solo performances) and individual children showcased their musical talents honed in their lessons with peripatetic teachers (voice, piano, drums and cornet). As always, thank you to Mr Lister for his wonderful teaching and for organising the event. It was a lovely way to sum up the half term.
