Summer Term 2018
Keep an eye out here for what Year Four will be learning in the Summer term.
Spring Term 2018
This half term Year Four have been reading parts of the book: “La Chenille qui fait des Trous” (The Very Hungry Caterpillar). They learnt phrases to re-create what the caterpillar eats on the different days of the week. Take a look at some of their brilliant writing:
Year Four will continue to use the book during the second half term to look at the butterfly life cycle.
Autumn First Half Term 2017
This half term Year Four have revised saying their name, age and have learnt how to use “j’habite à…” to say where they live. They have revised days of the week, months of the year and colours, through a variety of games and songs. They have combined this learning to say at least three things about themselves in front of the class.
Autumn Second Half Term 2017
In the second half term, Year Four have begun to learn about “Les Legumes” (vegetables). They will then use this to create roles plays about visiting the grocers and looking at the life cycle of a plant. They will also read the story of “La Chenille qui fait des Trous” (The Very Hungry Caterpillar) and use this to create their own versions.

We were very lucky to have a German student visiting our school this half term, so the children have also learnt numbers to 10 and how to say their name in German!!
In the second half of the Autumn term Year Three have been learning the months of the year and to explain when their birthday is. Take a look at some of their work here:
Spring Term (2017)
During the fist half of the Spring Term Year Three have been listening to and responding to classroom instructions. We worked in pairs to give instructions and act these out. Then we worked in small groups to create our own games of “Jacques à dit” for the class. Take a look at us playing “Jacques à dit” here:
