Welcome to Holy Redeemer School PTA
Our Parent and Teacher Association are just that: a committee of staff and parents working together with a common goal – making our school the best it can be.
Our PTA aims to:
☺ Develop effective relationships between the governors, staff and parents, aiding communication and a sense of team work.
☺ Arrange events and activities that raise funds for equipment and projects in school to enhance the education of the pupils.
☺ Organise social events for the enjoyment of the pupils, their families and the wider community.
☺ Promote an inclusive school community which encourages a sense of pride in all we do to benefit our children.

Funding Officer: Charlotte Brennan
As parents at our school, we are really keen to benefit our children in any way we can, whether this is by raising money for much needed equipment and resources, or treating them to fun social events. Although we have listed the core committee above, we are much bigger than this with many parents doing what they can when they can. Everybody is welcome and all help is greatly appreciated!
We are constantly looking for new fundraising schemes, and welcome any offers of help and new ideas. If you would like to share your skills and ideas (or even organise something yourself!), then please see your class rep, or come along to a meeting.
PTA Reception Class Music Club
At all times the music leader insisted on appropriate discipline in the sessions ensuring children didn’t play instruments when people were talking. The children learnt the music and words for over 25 different songs from around the world. Particular highlights include the Brontosaurus Stomp, Grandpa’s Farm and Anansi Played with One Drum.
At the end of term they did a performance for parents featuring some of their favourite songs and showing parents their use of a range of instruments. Everyone really enjoyed the music club and showed great level of concentration and control over their instruments. Several parents have said their children are keen to learn instruments or sing after attending this club so there will be some new recruits for Mr Lister in the future!
