Last term the children and staff at Hopscotch went on a bear hunt!
Inspired by Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury’s fantastic book, they were swishing and swashing through long, wavy grass, squelching through mud, splashing through rivers, getting lost in swirling, whirling snow storms, stumble-tripping their way through a wood, feeling their way through dark caves…binoculars at the ready…and all in the hopes of finding a bear!
Then running home to hide under the covers when they found one!
There have been lots of opportunities, throughout the setting, for the children to develop other areas of their learning too. including off site during their Outdoor Adventure sessions at the Horticulture College…
